Data We Collect

WordIzy does not require an account and does not collect personal data such as your name, email, or browsing history (except when you voluntarily submit the contact form — see below). We do not use fingerprinting, third-party tracking pixels, or cross-site tracking. The only information we process is what you actively type into our tools, plus anonymous usage statistics (see below).

Anonymous Search Analytics

When you perform a search, we anonymously record the query string, the tool you used, your selected language, and the number of results returned. No IP address, no user ID, no browser fingerprint, and no personal information is stored with this data. This helps us understand which searches are popular and identify content gaps. You cannot be identified from this data.

How We Process Your Input

Every query — letters to unscramble, a Wordle pattern, a dictionary word to check — is processed server-side using dictionaries held in memory. Your input is used solely to generate results and is discarded immediately after the response is sent. The search terms themselves are stored anonymously in our analytics (see above) but are not linked to you in any way.

Contact Form Submissions

When you submit the contact form, your name, email address, and message are stored in our database so that we can read and respond to your inquiry. This data is only accessible to the site owner and is never shared with third parties. You may request deletion of your submission at any time by emailing info.wordizy@proton.me. To prevent spam, contact form submissions are rate-limited to 5 per hour per IP address.

Cookies & Advertising

WordIzy displays ads through Google AdSense to keep the service free. AdSense may use cookies to serve relevant ads and measure ad performance. A cookie consent banner appears on your first visit, allowing you to accept or decline. You can manage or disable cookies in your browser settings, and opt out of personalised advertising via Google's Ads Settings. We do not set any first-party tracking cookies ourselves — only a single preference cookie to remember your consent choice and your selected language and theme.

Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Because we do not create accounts or link analytics to individuals, there is no personal profile associated with you. You are not tracked across visits. If you have submitted a contact form message and wish to have it deleted, contact us at info.wordizy@proton.me and we will remove it promptly. Under the GDPR (EU residents) you have the right to access, rectify, or erase any personal data we hold about you. Under the CCPA (California residents) you have the right to know what personal information is collected, request deletion, and opt out of the sale of personal information — we do not sell your information.
